Round 2 is on the way. More severe storm potential this afternoon. Here are the details.
Today is a Weather Alert Day due to the strong to severe storm potential this afternoon.
All of central Florida is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch through 5 p.m.
Scattered storms will continue to move in from the Gulf of Mexico moving over areas that are currently heating up with a decent amount of sunshine around.
As the day goes on few of these storms will have potential to produce gusty winds between 40-50 mph, heavy rainfall, small hail, lightning and we can't rule out an isolated tornado.
Most of the rain will begin clearing out by 5 p.m., but a few showers could linger through 6 or 7 this evening mainly in Brevard and parts of central and southern Osceola county.
Expect partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Tomorrow there's a small chance for a few sprinkles of rain in the morning. Rain chances are 20% mainly south of Orlando. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 90s.
