Dangerous heat and strong storms possible ⚡️
A mix of sun and clouds are expected through the first half of the day before scattered rain and storms develop across Central Florida. A few storms could get strong to severe producing heavy rain, lightning, strong wind gusts between 40-50 mph and a brief spin up can't be ruled out.
It's also going to be a hot day. A heat advisory will be in effect for Brevard County beginning at 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. Heat index values could reach 110°.
Afternoon highs are expected to climb into the upper 90s across inland spots and lower 90s across coastal areas.
A cold front arrives Sunday morning bringing another round of scattered rain and storms. Highs will be near average in the upper 80s.
